As our Process Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient identification and progress of all Process Safety issues/actions together with assisting in all HSE operations where necessary in support of the HSE Department and continually improve Safety / HSE performance and related activities on site.
Responsibilities of the Process Safety Engineer are: Provide expertise on process safety risk assessments: HAZOP, LOPA, MOC, ATEX/DSEAR, OBRA Both lead and support other members of the SHE team in carrying out assessments Drive action completion following assessments Carry out basic consequence analysis using e.g., ALOHA Provide technical information and be the "intelligent customer" when using 3rd parties for e.g., consequence analysis Provide full basis of safety package for any new major accident scenarios identified and review and update existing bases of safety Drive risk assessment reviews at the required frequency Coach other process engineers in the assessment methodologies Oversee and check the application of process safety elements during process design and project development Provide technical support for process safety incident investigations What do you bring?
To be successful in this "hands-on" position as a Process Safety Engineer, educated to Master's degree level in Chemical Engineering or Process Safety Engineering would be key and 'Charter' status would be ideal to accompany proven active experience preferably on an upper tier COMAH site.
