Description Reporting to the Shift Supervisors you will be based at Hope Cement Works in Derbyshire working on a 4x12 shift pattern.
This is an opportunity for an individual to join a multi-disciplined team who play a key part in the operation of Hope Works.
You will possess good communication and problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and succeed.
Key Responsibilities · First line inspections of mechanical plant and equipment · Adhere to and promote the highest standards of safety within the workplace · Collection and transport of samples from the process to laboratory · High pressure jetting within the preheater tower and cooler while operational · Work flexibly within the production shift team to assist with breakdown repairs, investigations and support the cement manufacturing process · Operation of mobile plant primarily telescopic fork lift Skills, Knowledge & Expertise · Working knowledge of cement manufacturing plant and processes · Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental issues within cement manufacturing · Mobile plant experience including telescopic forklift · High pressure jetting experience and demonstrable competence · Willingness to train both internally and externally is a key priority Specific Features for this Position Flexibility regarding working hours is required at all times and a willingness to participate in out of hours call out cover for colleague sickness.
