Job Title: Process Engineering Cell Lead Job Summary: As a Process Engineering Cell Lead, you will be part of the Fab Engineering and Technical Operations teams, supporting the delivery of products that meet technical specifications and deadlines.
This role involves working in cleanrooms and lab areas to optimize existing processes for R&D and manufacturing wafers.
You will collaborate with facility/equipment engineers and integration engineers to develop new processes, support future device requirements, and facilitate the transfer of processes to high-volume manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities Leadership: Team Management: Lead the Photolithography Team, including engineers and technicians, by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and clear goal-setting.
Performance Management: Ensure team members have aligned objectives and conduct performance reviews to meet organizational needs.
Project Ownership: Maintain updated project plans with clear timelines, ownership, and deliverables for all team-related activities.
Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of innovation and ongoing development within the team.
Supply Chain Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain partners to develop new technologies aligned with development goals.
Safety Promotion: Advocate for safety awareness and foster an accident-free work environment.
Technical Competency: Roadmap Development: Lead the cell's process development roadmap to maintain technological leadership and align with the product roadmap.

Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of a defined process toolset, directing technicians/operators for R&D and manufacturing wafers to meet schedules.
Process Optimization: Continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce scrap, and improve quality.
Statistical Analysis: Set up and monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, and apply statistical methods to enhance process reproducibility and manufacturability.
Documentation: Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and document tool operation and process details.
Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Process Engineering Manager.
Person Specification Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fab Process Engineering or Process Development.
Hands-on experience in photolithography processing.
Proficiency with process equipment and associated metrology tools.
Demonstrated success using structured problem-solving techniques.
Master's degree in a relevant field (Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering).
Knowledge and experience with SPC processes.
Desired: Experience in team leadership and project management.
Working knowledge of E-Beam Lithography.
Proficiency in designing experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.
Hands-on experience with wet etching processes.
Familiarity with InP-based materials and processing.
Expertise in SPC, Six Sigma techniques, and Gage R&R studies (Green Belt certification is a plus).
