Note: This is for one of our clients, not avua directly Responsibilities: Develop and optimize processes for the production of nuclear power Conduct simulations and feasibility studies to evaluate process alternatives and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and innovations into existing processes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for safety, environmental protection, and quality.
Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to minimize hazards and ensure safe operation of process systems.
Develop and maintain procedures for emergency response and incident management.
Specify equipment and instrumentation requirements for process systems, including pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, and control systems.
Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to design and commission new facilities or upgrades to existing infrastructure.
Conduct site assessments and provide input on layout and design considerations for optimal performance and efficiency.
Implement monitoring systems and data acquisition tools to track key process parameters and performance metrics.
Analyze process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the renewable energy (solar), nuclear, or oil and gas industries.
Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and reaction engineering principles.
Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards in the energy industry (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NRC).
