Process Engineer - Back End Operations Operations · Durham, Sedgefield

Overview Process Engineer in Back End Operations team, based in Sedgefield and Durham manufacturing sites. Key tasks Support process ownership across all wafer prep processes on the 200mm and 300mm lines, including laser release, mount to tape & frame, laser and saw dice. Control processes to ensure stability; monitor SPC and introduce new controls as appropriate. Conduct safety risk assessments and proactively highlight any potential risks. Provide high quality mentoring, leadership and training to operational and junior technical team members. Collaborate with other departments as appropriate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders in process development work. Support the development of new processes and introduction of new equipment. Support training of personnel on tools and processes. Create, review and update SOPs, OCAPs & risk assessments. Support with lab safety and management. Qualifications and training Educated to degree level in an Engineering, Materials Science or Physics related discipline or to HND level. Trained in the use of quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D etc. Six Sigma Yellow belt or Green belt certified is desired although not essential. Skills and experience Experience within the semiconductor industry or similar. Experience of reviewing and writing SOPs & OCAP. Strong, demonstrable problem solving skills.
