We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK including Morrisons, Co-op, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's, Nando's and Pizza Hut.
Our Spalding site has a restaurant with hot food available to all our colleagues.We are looking for a Process Technologist to join us on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract!
What you'll be doingAs a process development technologist you will carry out all relevant manufacturing projects to deliver process development and line trials successfully by:Providing information to support the creation of customer and factory specifications which lead to the production of accurate and appropriate product labelling informationBeing responsible for the planning, preparation and successful execution of process development and line trials to deliver customer requirements and process improvementsProviding process guidance and advice to cross-functional manufacturing teams to promote adoption of new practices or process for increased efficiencyMonitoring and communicating process trends to ensure launch date adherence, maximum process optimisation and effective communication to customersChallenging and investigating potential continuous improvement projects and facilitate relevant trials to drive process and product enhancements opportunitiesEnsuring the output of all line trials are fully documented with adherence to food safety, quality standards and customer requirements are metAssessing equipment capability to ensure that process standards are in line with company and customer requirements to drive improvementsEnsuring that a safe working environment exists for colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set out in the Health, Safety and Environment PolicyWhat we're looking for At Greencore we put our people at the core.

Together we make every day taste better.Flexible to work occasional night shift for trialsIdeally educated to degree level in a food science or related subject, plus relevant working experience within a food manufacturing environmentRelevant qualifications essential such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and safety, HACCP level 2, Sensory Training Level 2 and Micro biological training level 2Experienced in evaluation and interpretation of shelf-life resultsExperienced in interpretation of customer codes of practiceExperienced working with different types of computer programmes and can demonstrate experience analysing project resultsKnowledge of legal labelling legislation and a variety of retailer web-based systems is desirableUnderstanding of technology relevant to business area and area of responsibility and a demonstratable understanding of technical key performance indicatorsCan demonstrate the following skills and experiences, GMP knowledge of techniques, basic hygiene principles, basic legal labelling, and basic knowledge of weight legislationThese may be trained or developed.
