Job Description Role: Prison Security Escort \n Location: HMP Exeter \n Standard Rate: £12.01 per hour + 33 days holiday pay \n Overtime rate: £15.97ph (overtime after 37.5 hours) \n Duration: Temporary role for 3 months \n Typical hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00-17:00 \n As a Prison Security Escort, you will work alongside the prison service, assisting our client who is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings.
You will be a part of security team where you will escort and oversee contractors such as carpenters, plumbers and electricians, whilst they complete their maintenance work.
\n Duties of a Prison Security Escort Include (but not limited to) \n \n Checking the identification of the contractors \n Checking contractors have been briefed on security measures \n Booking in and out of the contractors \n Creating a tool list \n Escorting contractors through the prison to their place of work \n Overseeing contractors whilst they are working (Please note you will have to stay with the contractors at all times) \n Checking contractor tools are all accounted for prior to leaving work area \n Using the radio to request permission to move contractors within the prison \n \n About You: \n \n You will have good communication skills \n Have excellent attention to detail \n Be safety conscious \n Have been living in the UK for the past 3+ years \n Be able to pass security vetting (includes providing references, passing security police checks & providing photo identification) \n \n Why should you apply?
