Qualifications and Skills: Essential Criteria: Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelors or Masters).
Chartered Engineer status, or on the path to achieving it.
Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.
Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D CAD.
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) / SHEA (Safety, Health and Environmental Awareness) Power Card; Full UK Driving Licence.
Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Mentor and manage the primary design team, setting high standards and ensuring professional development.
Project Execution: Oversee the design and delivery of high-voltage substations, ensuring all technical specifications and standards are met.
Strategic Involvement: Participate in client meetings, business development activities, and technical proposal writing.
Working Conditions and Travel: Hybrid Working Pattern: Work from home three days a week, with two days spent at the office or on-site.
Travel: London, Leeds, and Stowmarket, including occasional site visits as needed.
