Principal Structural Engineer Job Overview Strategic Resource Allocation: Collaborate with the Head of Structures to manage team resources, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality.
Innovative Design Leadership : Translate client briefs into conceptual designs, from inception to completion.
Excellence in Delivery : Oversee the entire design process, ensuring compliance with British Standards, Building Regulations, and internal quality protocols.
Project Management : Lead day-to-day operations, from initial assessments and scheme drawings to cross-disciplinary coordination, regulatory approvals, and site inspections.
Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong client relationships On-Site Expertise : Conduct thorough site visits, documenting findings and ensuring alignment with client expectations and project goals.
Financial Oversight : Assist with budgeting, preparing fee proposals, projecting income, and tracking project costs to ensure financial success.

Principal Structural Engineer Job Requirements BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering Chartered member of IStructE or equivalent (or sue to achieve in next 12 months) Proficient in AutoCAD and Tekla Project delivery experience and a proven track record delivering within time and cost constraints Experience of new build and refurbishment across a range of sectors including residential, healthcare., education and industrial and of supporting projects of varying values and sizes.
