Principal Software Engineer

IoT product… a bootstrapped, Belfast HQ'd SAAS company hiring a new team of engineers.
Principal Software Engineer Belfast (Hybrid) £80K - £100K p/a + equity, health insurance, pension etc This will be the first hire on the team… they have a successful product already in operation (development outsourced), now moving the engineering function in-house.
You'll be architecting/building out their product, contributing to key conversations with senior leadership, and hiring a team of 7/8 engineers in 2025.
They're agnostic on tech and the backend stack will be up for review, but definitely sticking with AWS Serverless, and their UI is React.
The person… Likely 10+ years' experience as a Software Engineer.
A fullstack engineer by trade, backend / frontend.
AWS experience would be great to have.
Track record of building solutions end-end.
Experienced working with a high level of responsibility (startup experience would be ideal).
Experience taking ideas through to production and overseeing the whole process.
A good communicator and mentor.
