**Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer -** **Location**: Glasgow, Bristol, Stockton or Edinburgh (Flexible Remote/Office/Site Work) **About the Role:** A leading client in the Net Zero Energy sector is seeking a Principal or Senior Mechanical Engineer.
This role is a blend of technical leadership, team management, and hands-on engineering, offering the perfect balance for those looking to advance their career while contributing to a sustainable future.

**Key Responsibilities:** Oversee key phases of mechanical engineering projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and site-based verification.
Guide junior engineers, fostering their development and maintaining a collaborative team atmosphere.
Work closely with the group lead on resourcing and scheduling to ensure efficient project delivery.
**Example Projects:** Hydrogen production and storage solutions Industrial decarbonisation initiatives Multi-disciplinary feasibility studies and technical verification **What You Bring:** A Master's degree (MEng/MSc) in Mechanical Engineering and Chartered Engineer status (IMechE membership preferred).
Experience in regulated sectors such as power, oil & gas, or chemical industries.
Proficiency in pipe stress analysis, equipment and engineering specification writing, pressure part design, and plant layout.
Strong skills in mentoring, team coordination, and client-facing communication.
