This GCP laboratory-based position will work on clinical translational projects across GSK's respiratory, immunology, and emerging specialties portfolio to generate data sets to increase the understanding of disease heterogeneity, drug's mechanism of action, and patient responses to treatment at the molecular level.
The person will perform routine histological and cutting-edge spatial-omic and single cell experiments on clinical trial patient biopsies to generate quantitative analytical data. This role will provide you with the opportunity to lead key translational projects and closely collaborate and support research teams, GSK matrix partners, and external academic institutes.
We create a place where people can grow, be their best, be safe, and feel welcome, valued and included. We offer a competitive salary, an annual bonus based on company performance, healthcare and wellbeing programmes, pension plan membership, and shares and savings programme.
Key Responsibilities: Histotechnology: Perform routine histotechnology including biopsy processing, microtomy, histochemical staining and slide scanning to QC and prepare samples for downstream spatial or SC analysis.Single-cell processing: Process various matrices for single-cell/nuclei analysis, using the Chromium X and Next Generation Sequencing.Spatial-omics: Use spatial-omic platforms, including Xenium and Visium. Perform spatial data analysis using off-the-shelf analysis workflows.Lab Compliance: Compile QC reports and write standard operating procedures, analytical methods, and protocols and record data in-line with GCP lab standards.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Translational Research, Translational Sciences, Precision Medicine, HBSM, and Pathology.
