Job overviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Pharmacist to lead, develop, and expand our Paediatric Cancer Services, ensuring the delivery of outstanding care to children with cancer both locally and internationally.
As a solely tertiary paediatric hospital in the heart of London, we treat patients from all across the city and beyond, offering cutting-edge treatments for rare and complex cancers.
Our hospital is a primary treatment centre and collaborates with over 20 paediatric oncology shared care centres.
We also host a large Bone Marrow Transplant service and are a designated CAR-T centre.
Our Paediatric Cancer Clinical Trials team supports an extensive portfolio of advanced trials, ranging from new agents to ATIMP CTs.
In line with our commitment to innovation and research, GOSH is in the process of building a new Children's Cancer Centre, an exciting development that will further enhance our cancer care and pharmacy services.

Main duties of the jobLeadership & Service Development: Take the lead in shaping and expanding our Paediatric Cancer Pharmacy Service, playing a pivotal role in the development of the new Children's Cancer Centre.
You will oversee the management, growth, and quality of our services, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of pharmaceutical care.Clinical Expertise: Deliver expert paediatric cancer and transplant pharmacy services, with a focus on safe prescribing, monitoring of SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies), and novel therapies management.Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to provide patient-centred care, influencing treatment decisions and offering your specialist knowledge in oncology therapeutics.Education & Training: Lead the training and development of pharmacy staff, ensuring clinical and operational excellence across the team.
Be accountable for a large clinical service, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant governance, DTC (Drug Therapy Committee), and regulatory requirements for cancer therapies, fostering safe, effective, and evidence-based practices.We are looking for someone who:
