We're on the lookout for a Principal Flood Modeller to join the Birmingham team, could this be you?
?? With at least 6 years of experience , you'll be taking the reins on some seriously exciting projects, from sustainable drainage strategies to high-profile regeneration and flood alleviation schemes.
Whether you're passionate about tackling urban developments or helping protect river systems, this is your chance to lead and inspire a talented team of flood risk engineers and modellers!
In this role, you'll work with both private and public sector clients , delivering Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), drainage strategies, and flood studies.
Your skills in 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling (think Flood Modeller, Tuflow) and your knowledge of hydrology will be put to the test as you lead bids, guide junior staff, and help shape the future of flood risk in the UK.
What you'll bring: Expertise in hydraulic modelling , hydrology (FEH, ReFH2), and drainage systems Confidence leading bids and projects, and facing clients head-on A sharp understanding of NPPF , SuDS, and the UK's water industry Experience in river engineering and mentoring junior talent A love for writing clear, concise reports (your words are water-tight!)
What we're offering: £46,000 - £55,000 DOE with annual reviews 26 days holiday (rising to 31 with loyalty days) + bank holidays Hybrid working (balance your work & life like a pro!)
