Job title: Principal Engineer – Systems Engineering

Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience
What you'll be doing: You will provide subject matter expertise and advice to internal and external stakeholders on Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering. Coach and mentor in Systems Engineering practices. Lead activities and supervise others as they tailor and develop Systems Engineering practices to suit the needs of a particular project/programme of work. Effectively communicate and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure the development and delivery of optimised systems. Demonstrate expertise in a given domain and also absorb and process new domain knowledge quickly. You will work collaboratively across Engineering disciplines and other Functions. Your skills and experiences: You are an experienced Engineer with a breadth of systems engineering knowledge and an understanding of the full engineering lifecycle. You understand systems engineering approaches, processes and procedures. You have a sound basis in the science of engineering – the basic physics, chemistry and mathematics on which engineering is founded. You are degree qualified or have equivalent experience in a science technology, engineering, or mathematics related discipline. You have an awareness of the many disciplines that impact on system design, from the different branches of engineering through law, commerce, management, logistics and politics. You are a member of appropriate professional institution and Chartered with them, or demonstrable working towards Chartership. You can coach, mentor and assist others.
