What you'll be doing: Taking ownership of specific Mechanical design issues and managing Integrated Combat Systems, Platform (In build & in service) stakeholders and external partners Managing internal department stakeholders dependent on design activity Review of Integrated combat designs and their platform interfaces providing Mechanical design feedback (Structural, Thermal & Hydraulic) in the Naval/Marine domain Production of CS Mechanical design interface information, e.g. Interface and Installation Guidance Information Performing Engineering calculations (Structural, Thermal & Hydraulic, Pneumatic) and generating associated test specifications and procedures to support design-proving and qualification activities Producing Engineering Drawings in FORAN/CADS5/Viso to BS 8888 Your skills and experiences: Essential:
Hydraulic / Pneumatic Systems Engineering experience Degree or HND qualified with experience Chartered or working towards Chartership Desirable:

The Platform Physical Design Team: Part of the specialist engineering services, the Platform Physical Design and Installation Service provides a key role in physically incorporating Integrated Combat System's Equipment onto our Royal Navy Submarine Fleet. This is a critical role in the delivery of the product to the customer and will allow you to liaise with high-level stakeholders and develop a lasting career with BAE Systems.
