We are looking for a seasoned Principal Engineer to lead AI-driven technology solutions and influence the future of digital banking for our client.
In this strategic role, you'll balance technical leadership with hands-on engineering, driving the development and implementation of their AI platforms, including a sophisticated digital assistant serving millions of customers.
You will guide multiple teams to deliver transformative technologies, setting new benchmarks in the industry.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of their AI technology roadmap, ensuring they leverage generative AI to enhance customer interactions and achieve top-tier Net Promoter Scores (NPS).
Manage and guide engineering teams (circa 100 engineers) responsible for end-to-end product development, including design, build, and testing.
Ensure system stability, resilience, and seamless failover processes with minimal impact on live customers.
Oversee risk management for the AI platform, identifying and mitigating platform-related risks.
Drive continuous improvement in software engineering, facilitating team growth through mentorship, career development, and fostering an internal engineering community.
Skills & Experience: Proven experience leading large-scale engineering teams (size: 100+) and delivering complex AI and digital systems.
Expertise in defining technology strategy and implementing best practices for scalable, automated, and high-performing applications.
Hands-on experience with DevOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
Extensive knowledge of architecture, database design, and the latest industry trends in AI and digital banking technologies.
Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influencing strategic decisions across the organization.
Preferred Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., IBM Cloud, hybrid cloud environments), AI tools (e.g., Watson), and deployment technologies (e.g., Redhat, Openshift).
Proficient in test-driven development (TDD) and building APIs.
Knowledge of security practices, risk management, and infrastructure resilience.
