As a Data Architect, you'll:
• Work closely with key stakeholders to discover and analyse data capture systems/sources.
• Develop visualisations and POC to explain the case for data-driven outcomes and the opportunities of aligning and modelling data architecture to deliver end-user requirements.
Requirements:
• Deep understanding of databases and analytics, including relational databases (such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), data warehousing, big data (Hadoop, Spark), NoSQL, and business analytics.
• Understanding of big data use-cases and Hadoop-based design patterns. Knowledge of real-time/stream analytics.
Job Responsibilities: Able to communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as facilitating discussions with different teams.Able to handle and work with different perspectives.Undertake data profiling and source system analysis. Present clear insights to colleagues to support the end use of the data.Understand that data must be aligned to end-user needs.Develop basic visualisations and presentations.Able to understand data governance concerns and ensure that data solutions are assured and compliant.Produce minimum viable proofs of concept to communicate ideas to stakeholders.Can explain principles of data modelling as well as maintaining and updating data models for different business domains and able to reverse engineer data models from systems.Able to work with metadata repositories to facilitate data systems integration impact analysis. Able to maintain metadata repositories with data system metadata.Knowledge and experience of many data systems including relational, Big Data, graph, document, key-value, and other types.
