Job overview A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a flexible, dynamic, experienced and capable Chartered Physiotherapist to undertake the role of Clinical Specialist in Chronic Pain Management within the East area North Wales.
Pain Services have long embraced a multi-professional approach to managing chronic pain.
Physiotherapy is one of a number of professions which bring a comprehensive skill-set to the clinical team and plays a key role in the delivery of pain management techniques and approaches within the Health Board.The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous clinical specialist practitioner, with an extended scope of physiotherapy practice to work within a team to deliver a clinical specialist service to patients referred to the chronic pain service.Support and teaching of Pain Team members and other therapy colleagues from the wider services is required of the role.
The physiotherapy service in BCUHB offers a whole career pathway to Band A as a clinical advanced practitioner.
Service improvement and development is encouraged and all staff have access to regular supervision and training.This is an opportunity to work in a large established and supportive team in a beautiful part of the UK.
Main duties of the job Development and delivery of high quality service within own Physiotherapy sub specialism across BCUHBAssessment and management of complex patients;Develop opportunities for practice which extends the scope of traditional physiotherapyTraining and support of physiotherapists and support staff to deliver high quality, evidence based service provisionGovernance arrangements within the sub-specialty area The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
