Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and flexible Principal Clinical/ counselling psychologist to join to join our friendly, dynamic and busy early intervention services based in Cambridge and Peterborough.As Principal Clinical psychologist for the Cameo South team you will be part of the psychological management team alongside a Principal Clinical psychologist in the Cameo North team and a Consultant Clinical psychologist (service wide) to assist with the oversight and delivery of the clinical, professional, and strategic aims of the service.CAMEO is an award-winning CPFT Early Intervention in psychosis service offering an age inclusive service (14-65 years) across a three-year pathway.
Cameo was established in 2002 and the service has had a significant impact on the development of the Early Intervention model across the UK and internationally.
The successful applicant will be based in CAMEO South multidisciplinary team and will form part of the senior leadership team consisting of team mangers, consultant psychiatrists and advanced nurse practitioners.
They will work with experienced clinical psychologists / CBTp therapists involved in the engaging, assessing, supporting and enhancing outcomes for individuals and families experiencing first episode of psychosis across a broad range of community settings under the overall co-ordination of a Consultant Psychologist.
Main duties of the job You will undertake a lead role in ensuring the systematic provision of a highly quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients of the CAMEO service, across all sectors of care.To carry out, supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other psychologists/therapists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment in the Cameo South team.
The psychologist will work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance and supervision of the psychological practice within the Cameo Service.
This role will include psychological assessment and individualised, formulation-driven interventions within a CBT framework as part service user's overall multi-disciplinary team care plan.The post holder is part of the Adult and Specialist Mental health directorate and will receive supervision, professional support and guidance from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist who oversees the service.

Person Specification Education / Qualifications Essential oPost - graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology or counselling psychology, specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology oRegistered as Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC oFormal training in clinical supervision Desirable oEvidence of post-doctoral training (CBTp, Early Intervention in psychosis, EMDR, psychological interventions for trauma, Family intervention) or other area of specialised areas of psychological practice oCompletion of ADOS training skills in assessment of ASD Experience Essential oExperience of working with people experiencing psychotic symptoms and their families/ working in an EIP setting.
oExperience of working with people experiencing psychotic symptoms and their families/ working in an EIP setting.
oIn depth experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for service users' psychological care and treatment within the context of a multidisciplinary team setting.
oExperience of teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision.

Desirable oPrevious experience of delivering cognitive behaviour therapy for psychosis clinical supervision.
oExperience of working with complex trauma, ASD, neuropsychological assessment oIn depth experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care including leadership skills Knowledge and Skills Essential oAble to demonstrate commitment to high quality care and service provision oKnowledge of and ability to deliver CBTp and behavioural family therapy oSkills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration requiring the use of highly developed analytical and judgement skills.
oAbility to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance, including regular supervision, to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and challenging behaviour.
oDoctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the field of clinical psychology.
Desirable oKnowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies in specific difficult to treat groups ( personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities, comorbid conditions).
