We are looking for a resilient and adaptable individual to join our dedicated team in High Peak , starting in January 2025.
About Us: Our High Peak site is a supportive and inclusive educational environment designed to help students achieve their full potential.
With a small, close-knit team of six staff and two classrooms, we provide tailored learning experiences that support both primary and secondary pupils as needed.
The Role: This is a varied and dynamic role requiring high resilience and adaptability.
You will work closely with pupils in small groups, 1:1 settings, and occasionally off-site, including in pupils' homes, libraries, or cafes.
While your primary focus will be on supporting primary pupils, you may also assist secondary students when necessary.
Your key responsibilities will include: Curriculum Knowledge: Delivering tailored support aligned with the primary curriculum to ensure pupils make progress in their learning.
Behaviour Support: Managing challenging behaviours with a calm and positive approach, fostering a safe and productive learning environment.
Personalised Interventions: Providing targeted support to pupils in various settings, including off-site locations, to ensure their engagement and success.
Collaboration: Working closely with a team of educators and support staff to deliver cohesive and effective teaching and support.
Flexibility: Supporting both primary and secondary pupils as required, demonstrating adaptability in a varied and fast-paced setting.
Requirements: • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviours and the ability to implement effective strategies to support them.
• High resilience, patience, and a commitment to making a positive impact on pupils' learning and well-being.
• The ability to work effectively with small groups and 1:1 settings, including in off-site locations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders.
