Primary Teacher (Job share Monday & Tuesday) Team Educate are seeking a qualified Primary School Teacher to provide long-term cover until the end of the academic year, in a fantastic school in Swindon.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary School Teacher to join a wonderful primary school in Swindon.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young learners and have direct experience of delivering the curriculum to Year 5 pupils.
This role involves educating students in primary education, facilitating their development, and nurturing their love for learning.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans and implementing effective teaching strategies that cater to the diverse needs of students.
The school offers assistance from a friendly and supportive teaching team, as well as a fantastic teaching assistants.
As this is a part-time position.
Duties of Primary Teachers: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards for Year 5 pupils.
Educate students in various subjects, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development.
Implement behaviour management strategies to create a respectful and productive classroom environment.
Assess student progress through regular evaluations/assessments and provide formative and summative feedback to encourage progression.
Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.
Participate in professional development opportunities, offered as CPD by the school, to stay current with teaching methodologies and educational trends.
Skills Required of Primary Teachers: Recent experience in teaching and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices within England.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents.
Proficient in behaviour management techniques that promote a positive classroom atmosphere.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
Ability to plan, develop and deliver an engaging curriculum, collaborating with fellow teachers when required.
Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges in the classroom effectively.
Qualifications Required of Primary Teachers: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Bachelors Degree in Education (or related discipline) Experience and thorough understanding of teaching the Curriculum for England.
