Job summary Are you a newly Qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker looking to undertake your Preceptorship/ ASYE?
If so CAMHS can offer you a fully supported employment opportunity to undertake this.
You will be working in the Early Help Team completing the CAMHS Assessments for those children and young people accepted in through the Single Point of Access.
You will have access to a multi disciplinary team for case discussions, reflective practice and outcome meetings to support your formulations and clinical decision making.
In addition, you will be co-facilitating our Stepped Care groupwork programme to our young people, their support networks and the community.CAMHS offers a diverse range of supervision to support and you will be able to access the embedded programmes associated with your career development.

You will be an accomplished communicator with a diverse range of communication techniques to build relationships, effect change and support/advocate where necessary.

Main duties of the job Our staff have said:"I feel valued within the team and I love the team ethos", "It's so great 'doing the do' and seeing our young people and making a difference to them", "I love running the groups and the workshops where you build relationships and get to know each other over a period of time" and "The team are really friendly, supportive and really pull together"To work within the CAMHS PMHW team to provide a community based primary mental health service for children and young people as part of the primary tier of CAMHS.To work with colleagues to offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and well being of children and their families.To direct children and their families to the most appropriate service in order to meet their emotional needs.To offer assessments individually and jointly with primary care colleagues.To offer a variety of evidence based therapeutic interventions at tier 1 and 2 to children, young people and their families and to hold a small case load.To work with your PMHW colleagues to deliver formal and informal training and education to all agencies involved with the emotional care of children and young people.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Professional qualification, with evidence of continuing professional development, in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy with current Registration with the NMC, SWE or HCPC
