About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and capable professional to join Best Practice Network as the Programme Lead for Primary Initial Teacher Training (ITT).
This is a middle leadership role where the successful candidate will work closely alongside the Assistant Head of Primary ITT.
You will lead Primary English and Phonics as well as being an Intensive Training and Practice Lead tutor.
You will also have oversight of the associate Personal Tutors which will include delivering half termly training to help drive the continuous improvement of Best Practice Network's ITT provision and participant experience, school placement and partner relationships, quality assurance and compliance.
Your Responsibilities: Develop English and Phonics curriculum content in line with the DfE ITTECF Framework ensuring it is evidence informed and all student teachers are receiving quality early reading, including systematic synthetic phonics training.
Ensure English and Phonics content, resources and delivery methods are aligned to current and future workplace needs, curriculum development and best teaching practices.
Oversee associate Personal Tutors to include half termly training to ensure consistency across the associate Personal Tutor workforce.
Work alongside the Quality Team to review the quality of the associate Personal Tutors work.
Contribute to the development, support, briefing and review of Personal Tutors.
Write regular email updates / bulletins for Personal Tutors to provide programme updates and information on upcoming module training and assessments.
Help to resolve escalated student teacher issues in collaboration with Personal Tutors and other stakeholders.
Under direction and with the support of the Assistant Head of Primary ITT, manage the retention and satisfaction of student teachers, liaising with Personal Tutors on support plans and ALS tutor on reasonable adjustments.
Intensive Training and Practice (ITAP) Lead tutor role for a group of student teachers.
Contribute to ITAP Lead tutor training alongside the Assistant Head of Primary ITT.
