Primary Behaviour Support Assistant Location: Southampton, Hampshire Salary: £12.83 per hour Start Date: Immediate/Easter 2025 Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Are you passionate about supporting young learners with challenging behaviour?

In this role, you will provide invaluable support to students with behavioural needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities : As a Primary Behaviour Support Assistant , you will: Support children with behavioural challenges on a one-to-one or small group basis.
Work with teachers and other staff to implement personalised strategies to support students' learning and behaviour.
Promote positive behaviour and assist in managing challenging situations.
Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Encourage students to develop social skills and confidence.
Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of student progress.
Requirements : As a Primary Behaviour Support Assistant , you will need: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural or additional needs (preferred).
Strong understanding of strategies to manage challenging behaviour in a positive way.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
