The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational and strong inter-personnelskills, while being flexible and committed.Thisis a key role assisting the clinical and administration team at the Workingtonpractice in organising patient care and helping to ensure that medicines areissued in a safe and timely manner.Hours of workshould reflect general practice hours hours per week within to Job-share and flexible hourswill be considered Main duties of the job Will be required to work on reception desk ona rota basis dealing with medication requests and queries from patients.Manage the towns prescription linesManagement of the Practice Medicines Managers task boxProcess patients repeat prescriptions accurately and in a timelymanner.Work closely with our medicines team, GPs/ANP, patients and localcommunity pharmaciesBe the main point of contact for patient enquiries regarding theirprescriptionsMake calls to and receive calls from patients, pharmacies andhealthcare professionalsIdentify where medication reviews and other aspects of patientcare are due and help organise this work.Support the management of the medicines hub email systemTo undertake generalroutine safety audits to support the clinical pharmacist and GPs with the medicationreview process.Support the repeatprescribing for identified vulnerable patients and act as their point ofcontact for medication queries and request.Have excellent communication skills and speakto our patients in a caring manner, you will need to be able to work on yourown and to prioritise your work.Answer the telephone promptly and politely toboth patients and the clinical team on behalf of the pharmacy teamTo undertake administrative tasksresulting from the prescribing processTo work in accordance with the practice prescribing policy at alltimes.To ensure all cancelled prescriptions are correctly audited on theEMIS system and destroyed accordingly About us North Cumbria Primary Care Ltd (NCPC) is aninnovative not for profit social enterprise, established to create a network ofgreat surgeries which sustains and supports the development of general practiceacross the local area.
