Presales Design Architect (Network Security) Location: Remote (with occasional travel to client sites) Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + (^£140k overall package) A leading provider in Cloud Connectivity, Network Security, Communications, and Managed Services is seeking a Presales Design Architect with hands-on experience in Network Security .
This role combines Presales design leadership with hands-on solution delivery, working closely with clients to ensure effective end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert consultation and design solutions across WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and network security services.
Collaborate with Bid Management and Sales teams to gather requirements, develop High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD), and create cost estimates.
Take ownership of solution delivery, involving hands-on implementation and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce technical schematics, ensure accurate pricing, and support the qualification of bids and proposals.
Engage directly with customers, providing technical expertise and designing cost-effective, scalable solutions.
Lead and support both the project management and implementation teams to ensure successful delivery and final solution acceptance.
Offer "Trusted Advisor" consultation services across multiple technology solutions.
Experience & Skills Required: Extensive hands-on experience in LAN, WAN (MPLS, SD-WAN, multi-cloud connectivity), WLAN, and network security services such as SASE, DDoS, and NAC.
Proven ability to design, price, and implement LAN, SD-WAN, and network security services.
Expertise in key networking and security vendors (e.g., Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet).
Strong background in both presales and delivery, ensuring the smooth transition from design to implementation.
Comprehensive understanding of the managed services market, with multi-vendor product knowledge.
Familiarity with design methodologies (TOGAF), business processes, and frameworks (PRINCE2, ITIL).
Certifications (Required/Desirable): SSE/SASE solutions from leading vendors (Cisco, Fortinet, Zscaler) WAN Technologies (MPLS & SD-WAN) Cisco CCNA/CCDP or equivalent Experience in lifecycle management and transition methodologies is an advantage Why Apply?
