Pre-Term Birth Midwife

Details of the offer

We are seeking a committed and dedicated person to join our maternity team as a preterm birth midwife. There has never been a better time to join us at University Hospitals of North Midlands. You will be supported and developed by an experienced multi-disciplinary team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who will work collaboratively with the MDT to implement SBL V3 and its commitment to reducing preterm birth. With an already established preterm clinic, we are committed to developing the role of the midwife within this specialist field.

UHNM is looking for an enthusiastic Midwife to play a decisive role in leading the development of care and management of women who are at increased risk of preterm birth, together with our Lead Consultant and midwife. You will also benefit from working closely with our fantastic Fetal Medicine team.

You will provide pregnant women with risk factors for preterm labour and birth with high quality, safe midwifery care in the antenatal and postnatal period. The care will be evidence-based and holistic in meeting women's individual needs, and the midwife will be expected to work autonomously within the guidelines and sphere of professional practice. Act as a mentor and/or preceptor as required.

In return, we ask all of our employees to make a commitment to the values, co-created by our staff, patients, and carers, that unite us as a Trust.

At University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, we know that investing in, supporting, and developing our staff has a direct impact on the quality of care that we deliver. Our employees are as important as our patients and the population that we serve.
