An industry-leading civil engineering contractor is seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Commercial Manager to drive commercial strategy and lead the tendering process for a high-value energy and power transmission framework for their key client SSEN.
This is a unique opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects that will shape the future of the UK's energy sector.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the pre-construction phase, managing all commercial aspects from early engagement to contract award.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to secure high-value energy infrastructure projects.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
Oversee tender documentation, cost plans, and commercial risk management during the bidding process.
Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, and financial standards throughout pre-construction activities.
Identify opportunities for value engineering and innovation, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the pre-construction phase of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong background in contract management, particularly NEC3/NEC4 frameworks.
Expertise in bid management, tendering processes, and financial risk analysis.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with experience working alongside senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Solid financial acumen with a focus on forecasting, budgeting, and cost management.
Experience in energy infrastructure or framework agreements is highly advantageous.
