Job summary We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to cover maternity leave for approx 6/9 months at Kenmore Medical Centre in Wilmslow.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Nurse to support us inproviding our patients with the highest standard of care.Monday - Friday including Late evening on a Wednesday.INTERVIEWS TO BE HELD WEDNESDAY 4TH DECEMBER - PMPlanned start date early February 2025.Pay negotiable dependant on experience.
Main duties of the job Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluateprogrammes which promote health and well being, and prevent adverse effects onhealth and well being Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluateindividual treatment plans for patient with a known long term condition Proactively identify and manage treatmentplans for patients at risk of developing a long term condition as appropriate.
Undertakes agreed procedures eg - blood pressure, pulserate and rhythm, temperature, height and weight body mass index ,venepuncture, earsyringing, ECG, peak flow readings, cytology, travel and childhoodvaccinations.
Prioritise health problems and interveneappropriately to assist the patient in complex, urgent or emergency situations,including initiating effective emergency care.
Assess and care for patients attending with wounds Implement and participate in immunisation programmesfor both adults and children Assist in minorsurgery Utilise and demonstrate sensitive communicationstyles, to ensure that patients are fully informed and consent to treatment Communicate effectively with patients and carers,recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcomedifferent levels of understanding, cultural background, and languagedifferences About us We are a friendly, forward thinking practice.

Management of long-term conditions , Diabetes, Family Planning, and Cardiac Clinics.
Wound care assessment Involvement in implementing and using protocols, clinical guidelines and working under PGDS Experience of audit.
