Job summary As a Practice Nurse at Tunstall Primary Care, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services to our patients.
You will work collaboratively with our healthcare providers and support staff to ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained.This is a full-time and permanent position with a negotiable salary for a 37-hour week, to be determined during the recruitment process based on your experience and performance.

We are a 3 GP Partner practice with two purpose-built, modern premises, we provide exceptional care to 12,700 patients in the north of Stoke-on-Trent.
Our practice is also involved in training undergraduates, GP's, and nurses, and actively participates within our PCN and federation.
We have a CQC rating of Good with our most recent inspection having been held in June 2021.
Job description Job responsibilities Job SummaryThe Practice Nurse / Nursing Associate will be expected to provide carein the treatment room for the patients of Tunstall Primary Care Centre andPackmoor Medical Centre.
This would normally be carried out by face-to-face consultationsincluding, travel and childhood immunisations, Immunisations, dressings,chronic disease management, contraception checks, Cervical Screening & corenursing services.Areas of Clinical ResponsibilityTo carry out nursing care plans and treatments in conjunction with GPsor independently to agreed protocols.To work in accordance with clinical guidelines and practice policiesTo carry out health screening as requiredTo carry out all general treatment room duties including, dressings,To carry out immunisations, including travel & childhoodimmunizationsUndertake NHS health checks and participate in research projects, as& when appropriate.To undertake Chronic disease review for patients with a long-termconditionContraception checks Ie- Pill Checks.To undertake ECGS, Venipuncture where necessaryTo undertake holistic assessments for the FAAs (Facilitating AdmissionsAvoidance)To perform Cervical Smears for the cervical screening programme.To maintain appropriate records and statisticsTo communicate any abnormal findings to other members of the nursingteam and/or the GPs, as appropriateTo visit patients at home as and when appropriateTo be active in health promotion and patient educationTo carry out specialist nursing activities as appropriate and toparticipate in training and development.To work within theprinciples of the Practices GMS contract.
