Job summary We are looking for a practice nurse to join our clinical team to work at both our main surgery site and our branch surgery.This vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of a practice nurse who has been a member of our team for in excess of 20 years.We are a rural practice with 4 partner GP and Nurse Training traditional practice, with a full compliment of clinicians working over both sites.
Main duties of the job We are looking for a practice nurse who has gained practice nurse experience and is able to work independently within the team.
Chronic Disease management knowledge would be an advantage however, we are willing to assist with training should the right candidate be interested in this post.
About us We have a strong traditional work ethic within our team, making patient care a priority.
With only having a list size of 8100 we are able to focus on the primary care requirements we need to follow to enhance this care.

They must beobservant, able to assess patients and take responsibility for determining thebest course of action.
On a daily basisthey will need to use a broad range of skills, including listening andcommunication, problem solving, good judgment and offering advice.
A Practice Nurse will need to demonstratecritical thinking, decision making and be able to manage patients.Confidentiality:Whileseeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitiveinformation in relation to their health and other matters.They do soin confidence and have the right to expect that staff will respect theirprivacy and act appropriately.Inthe performance of the duties outlined in this job description, the post holderwill have access to confidential information relating to patients and theircarers and Practice staff.
