Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic Experienced Practice Nurse to join our expanding team of nurses at our friendly practice.Lister House Surgery consists of 4 sites across Derby and you may be required to work at any of these sites depending on the business needs.This position has hours up to hours per week.
Main duties of the job The responsibility to support the nursing team in providing an effective service for our patients.Assist with any procedures undertaken by other clinicians when requested.Undertake any duties commensurate to the level of training and responsibility of the post.To act in a professional manner at all timesTo assist mentors with new starters and student nursesResponding to tasks and emails in a prompt and timely mannerWork within Practice Policies, PSDs and PGDsParticipate in annual appraisalsAttend monthly nurses meetings and clinical training sessionsA delegated key area of responsibility will be allocated after discussions About us We are GP teaching practice with a dedicated team committed providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues for Derby City and the surrounding area.We have GP Partners, Associate Partners, Salaried/Locum GPs along with ANP's, FCP's, PA's, Mental Health Team, health and wellbeing staff as well as Social Prescribers.
In addition to these we also have 20 staff in the Nursing Team which includes 6 Health Care Assistants and 1 Nursing Associate.
We deliver high quality care to a 45000 patient population.
The clinical team is supported by an extensive administrative and management team.We are a SystmOne practiceWe would be keen to support and develop areas of special interest within primary care.Please note we ask all successful candidates to pay for their DBS check which will be reimbursed once the probationary period has been passed.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential NCM Registered Nurse At least 1 year post qualification nursing experience Desirable Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification Experience Essential Practice Nurse experience in Vaccinations Experience working independently Desirable IT Literate with experience of SystmOne Experience working in Primary Care Other Requirements Essential Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check Maintains confidentiality at all times Desirable Full UK Driving Licence Skills Essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Leadership, time management and organisational skill
