Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse to joinour small rural dispensing GP team.
Main duties of the job Your main role is to provide general nursing support to theGP's, Nurse and HCAs at the Practice.
Experience of Long-Term ConditionManagement, Immunisations, dressings, cytology, diabetes education are essential.
Particular interest in Respiratory Management (Spirometry, FeNo) would be desirable.
About us We are a rural dispensing practice with a list size of 3300patients, 1 GP and 2 salaried GPs, we are also training practice with GPRegistrars, FY2s and Medical Students.EMIS web, High QOF achievement, Offers Enhanced Services,actively involved in PCNSalary negotiable dependant on experience Job description Job responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join ourestablished Nursing Team at Cartmel Surgery for 9 hours per week.Monday , there maybe some flexibility for theright applicant.
Additional hours willbe required to cover sickness or annual leave.The successful candidate will hold NMC registration and be aUK resident, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship.
They will join ourexperienced team and work alongside a Nurse and 3 Healthcare Assistants.We are located in Cartmel, South Cumbria and have stronglinks to the community while also working closely with other local practicesthrough our Primary Care Network (PCN).
We are a Veteran Friendly and hold OutstandingCQC rating.
We are a training Practice which offers placements to GPRegistrars,FY2 and Medical Students.We are seeking a qualified Nurse who is enthusiastic,approachable, compassionate, organised, and confident to work unsupervised.
Anenhanced DBS check will be required for this position.Duties include:Smear testsChild immunisationsECG'sRemoval of suturesAttend and participate in training and meetings as requiredAssist with coil and minor surgeryWound careInjections and vaccinationsGeneral nursing duties as required.Experience of long-term condition management, in particular respiratoryis desirable but not essentialAs a member of our nursing team, you will be supported by afull complement of clinical and non-clinical staff.
A basic knowledge of EMISWeb would be an advantage but full training will be given.
