Job summary Burwell Surgery is looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our well regarded and supportive team to assist thepractice to provide excellent care to patients.
You must be able towork as part of a team, have the ability to organise and prioritise ownworkload on a day-to-day basis.
Main duties of the job The main duties will include all aspects of treatment room services including dressings, vaccines and cervical smears.The role will also include involvement in chronic disease management and training can be provided to support this.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Treatment room duties eg.
dressings, suture removal, swabs, cervical smears, venepuncture, routine vaccinations, contraception service.
Disease management and health promotion clinics eg.
diabetic, asthma, smoking, weight, patient health checks, leg ulcer Regularly checking medical equipment to ensure serviced and maintained.
Infection control and prevention Admin to include completing patient record books as necessary and keeping accurate record on medical records system.
Deal with tasks received via multiple routes eg.

Person Specification Experience Essential Experience of Primary Care desired.
Experience of dealing with the public/patients.
Involvement in using protocols and clinical guidelines.
Able to work on own initiative.
Able to follow set procedures and protocols.
Use of clinical system software SystmOne and Microsoft Office.
Qualifications Essential Nursing Degree.
A levels.
GCSE grade C or equivalent in maths and English.
Proficient computer and keyboard skills.
Certificates of competence in areas of experience.
Commitment to professional development.
DBS certified.
Driving licence.
