Main duties of the job Primarily dealing with treatment room duties and minor illness consultations both telephone and face to face including common conditions such as chest infections, sore throats, UTIs, wound infections, sinusitis and ear infections.
The successful candidate could also undertake and oversee some chronic disease management ( asthma, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, COPD).To facilitate and participate in multidisciplinary education within the practice.
About us Castle Gate Medical Practice (formerly Chippenham Surgery) has been providing medical care to local patients since approximately 1840.
Since then we have grown to provide care for a list size currently standing at approximately 14,000 patients - and increasing.
We have a branch surgery in Raglan (9 miles from Monmouth).

Job description Job responsibilities We are seeking a motivated and committed Practice Nurse to join our supportive, enthusiastic and friendly team.The salary is negotiable and will be dependant on qualifications and experience.
The successful applicant will be required to work in both of our surgeries, Monmouth and Raglan.
Experience of managing minor illness is desirable but not essential.We are looking to develop and increase our current Nursing team.
You will be working alongside our existing Practice Nurses, HCAs and Phlebotomists to develop the service we currently offer our patients.
You will be fully supported by our GPs & practice management team and as a patient-focused practice, in-turn you will be asked to deliver the highest quality service to our patients and our practice community.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic individual, able to evidence qualifications and experience in a wide range of medical disciplines within primary care and general practice.
