Job summary Due to retirement, we are lookingto employ a full-time practice manager for our two GP practice sites in Luton,The Hockwell Ring Surgery and Britannia House Surgery, collectively known as DrMirza and Partners medical practice.
We are a GMS partnership with a list sizeof approximately 6000 patients.
We are an active member of Hatters HealthPrimary Care Network.
Our small to medium sized practice has been establishedin the local community for over 30 years and has provided services togenerations of patients.
We aim to continue to provide excellent patient care formany years to come.The successful candidate willhave outstanding people skills and the ability to support and lead the team toprovide a high standard of patient-centred care.
We are looking for anenthusiastic and proactive manager, preferably with knowledge and experience ofboth primary care and the locality, who is comfortable in managing people bothas individuals and as part of a team.
The role itself, especially when coveringtwo sites, will require a degree of flexibility and mobility to maintain smoothday to day running of the Practice.
Main duties of the job Main duties:The new manager will oversee theefficient and safe operation of the Practice, providing leadership in allaspects of its management.
This includes, human resources, finance, strategicplanning, organisational structure, premises management, informationtechnology, clinical governance, quality and performance management, and healthand safety.Responsibilities for this roleinclude:Recruiting and managing staff.Overseeing payroll.Ensuring compliance with HR and Safety, riskassessments and compliance with mandatory training.Providing leadership and supportto approximately 12 directly employed members of staff and several ancillarystaff and workers linked with the surgery.Overseeing all staff to ensurethat they have an appropriate level of training to enable them to carry outtheir individual roles and responsibilities effectively.Maximising income and ensuringcost efficiencies for the practiceStrategic development andfinancial planning of the practice: ensuring opportunities for the developmentof the practice are maximised.Ensuring Care Quality Commissioncompliance.Overseeing day to day compliancewith GDPR.Managing contracts for services.
