Job summary We arelooking to appoint a committed and highly motivated practice manager to be part of ourprogressive team.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role inensuring the efficient and effective management of the practice, driving growthand sustainability in line with NHS policies and developments.We are looking for provenHR skills along with excellent interpersonal and team skills toensure the smooth running of the practice.Inaddition business and organisational skills will be essential to managepractice budgets keeping the practice on a firm financial footing and compliantwith CQC regulations.The Practice Manager is a key member of the team and will beexpected to help and support the team in achieving goals and targets, beable to motivate the team and to delegate where necessary.
They must be able to be a trusted representative for the practice in the wider health care system in which the practice operates.We are looking for a PM to work a minimum of 30 hours, up tofull time would be considered for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job The main role of the post is to manage, coordinate and oversee all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and financial performance and ensuring the practice achieves its long-term objectives in a safe and effective working environment.Through innovative ways of working, lead the team in promoting continuous improvement, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development, and ensure the practice complies with CQC regulations.
About us Meadowsideis a long established friendly and supportive practice in the ever growing townof Congleton and currently looks after 8,000 patients.The surgery is warm and welcoming with a well-establishedteam consisting of: 3 GP partners, 4 salaried GPs, 1 Advanced nurse practitioner, 3 practice nurses,1 Assistant practitioner, 1 Health care assistant and a reception/administration team of 12.A number of other staff work in collaboration with us including afirst contact physiotherapist, paramedics and pharmacists providingconsultations and other services to our patients.Ourcollective purpose is to provide the best possible direct care to our patientsand to work on their behalf to improve care given to them indirectly by otherproviders where possible.
Job description Job responsibilities Management of the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring thatstaff achieve their primary responsibilities and CQC, QOF and locally commissionedservices targets are met.
HRprocesses, including recruitment, relevant checks, contractual issues,appraisals and staff performance ensuring employment law and legislation isadhered to.
Workforceplanning, ensuring a skill mix and staff have the appropriate level of trainingto enable them to carry out their individual roles and responsibilitieseffectively.

Liaisewith the Primary Care Network (PCN) and CCG/federation, attending meetings andpromoting collaborative working.
Providesupport and advice to the partnership; managing the financial aspects of thepractice in conjunction with partners; facilitate partners and practicemeetings, produce agendas and action plans; keeping up to date with developments.
Manageestates and facilities, including health and safety aspects, risk assessmentsand mandatory training.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills Desirable Educated to degree level in healthcare or business Leadership and/or management qualification AMSPAR qualification Experience Essential Experience of working with the general public Experience of managing multidisciplinary teams Experience of performance management including appraisals, staff development and disciplinary procedures Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects Desirable Experience of managing accounting procedures including budget and cash flow forecasting Experience of working in a healthcare setting Experience of workforce planning, forecasting and development NHS/primary care general practice experience Relevant health and safety experience Personal Qualities Essential Polite and confident Flexible and cooperative Excellent interpersonal skills Motivated and proactive Ability to use initiative and judgement Forward thinker with a solutions focused approach High levels of integrity and loyalty Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations Ability to work under pressure Confident, assertive and resilient Ability to drive and deliver change effectively Other requirements Essential Flexibility to work outside of core office hours Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check Maintain confidentiality at all times Desirable Full UK driving licence
