Practice Development Educator

This role plays a vital part in helping prisoners develop essential life and employability skills, preparing them for reintegration into society.
With a focus on restorative practices, adaptive teaching, and literacy development, this position supports learners in taking responsibility, building confidence, and achieving personal growth.
teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET, CET, or equivalent) preferred Experience: Teaching, coaching, or vocational training, ideally within a prison or similar setting Literacy integration, adaptive teaching, restorative practices, employability training Adaptive Teaching Practices: Promote Literacy and Digital Skills: Integrate reading and digital literacy into lessons to boost literacy as a core employability skill, with a focus on supporting learners with low literacy levels.
Work closely with prison departments, CIAG, Work & Skills Coaches, employers, and other stakeholders to create employment pathways and support reintegration.
A Level 2 qualification in PSD, Employability, or Life Skills training, with experience in delivering engaging, inclusive courses.
A recognised teaching qualification, such as PTLLS, AET, CET, or a willingness to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTTLS).
