Bookkeeper Hours: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 Schedule: Monday to Friday About: We are currently working with a continually growing private accountancy practice based in Swansea, South Wales.
There is an exciting opportunity to join their fast-paced workplace, where they are looking for a qualified, experienced bookkeeper with a minimum of 3 years of experience within a bookkeeping/accounts assistant role.
They are looking for a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeper to join their team, who will be detail-oriented, organised, and have a passion for numbers.
Responsibilities Assist the practice's accountants with year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and Limited Companies using a variety of software including Microsoft Office, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Kashflow, and TaxCalc.
Have a good understanding of VAT and monthly/quarterly accounting procedures.
Manage and oversee a small team of bookkeepers and accounts assistants and assist with internal training as appropriate.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly financial reports up to the level of trial balance.
Assist in the processing of accounts payable and receivable.
Communicate with clients where required.
Undertake other reasonable business tasks as required within the practice.
The Ideal Candidate: AAT qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
Able to work as part of a team, and comfortable with coaching less experienced staff members.
Able to work to deadlines and have a desire to exceed expectations.
Enthusiastic and hardworking.
Eye for attention to detail.
Confident in managing own time and workload.
A self-starter who takes pride in their work.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
