Job summary West View Surgery has two full time vacancies for the role of Practice Administrator.This is an essential front-line role at the practice, where you will play a vital role in joining our team where you will be speaking to patients and other stakeholders on the telephone and in person, managing patient referrals, processing clinical documentation amongst other essential tasks.
The role of the Practice Administrator is varied and challenging.
Main duties of the job a.Typingletters, reports and associated documentation as requiredb.Liaisingwith external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuringreferrals are processed efficiently.c.Manageall enquires in an effective manner.d.Maintainan accurate referrals database.e.Processcalling letters as requested.
f.Scanningof patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patientshealthcare records.g.Inputdata into the patients healthcare records as necessary.h.Processreferrals using the electronic referral system (ERS).i.Processrequests for information SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms.j.Readcode data on Emis Web.k.Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately.l.Manageall administrative queries as necessary.m.Carryout system searches as requested.n.Maintaina clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.o.Supportall clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested.p.Processnew patient registrations.q.Processpatient deductions.r.
Provide front of house reception cover.s.

Person Specification Experience Essential * Experience of working in a GP surgery * Experience of administrative duties * Experience of using EMIS Web * Experience of using eRS * Experience of working in a health care setting.
