Founded in 2004, we advocate for the right of disabled individuals to enjoy a barrier-free experience in tourism and leisure activities.
Working closely with government, public sector bodies, and industry leaders, we aim to transform the industry by promoting accessible options and breaking down barriers for all.
With a respected presence in policy, research, and accessible training, we're now launching a consumer bookings platform and are eager to elevate our brand and increase engagement with tourism and travel businesses.
To support this mission, we're seeking a PR and Brand Champion to help us build our profile, promote our initiatives, and drive revenue.
Role Summary As our PR and Brand Champion, you will collaborate with TFA's sales agency Ignyte, key stakeholders, corporate partners, and trustees to boost TFA's brand and reputation.
Your work will drive media visibility, attract sponsorships, and expand our reach in the industry through strategic press, social media, and web engagement.
This role is essential to TFA's growth as a trusted, go-to resource on accessible tourism.
Key Responsibilities PR and Media Outreach: Develop and maintain TFA's PR contact list and establish relationships with key media outlets.
Position TFA as a leading source of news and insights on accessible tourism.
Media Relations: Act as the first point of contact for media queries.
Build strong relationships with press and digital marketing teams at partner organizations.
Social Media & Content Development: Research and post relevant updates across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) in collaboration with Ignyte.
Build and manage a calendar for TFA's stories, insights, and updates.
Website Content Management: Repurpose B2B activity as website content, collaborating with stakeholders to create backlinks and boost online engagement.
Promotion of Revenue Activities: Leverage all channels to promote TFA's income-generating initiatives, such as our online training and the TFA Champions sponsorship program.
Stakeholder Engagement: Attend quarterly meetings with Ignyte and trustee meetings as required.
Skills and Experience Background in PR / Media Relations: Ideally, you're currently working in PR or media and seeking to support a meaningful cause in a voluntary capacity.
Experience in Travel and Tourism: Knowledge of the travel or tourism industries in the UK is a plus.
Understanding of Accessibility and Disability Needs: Direct or indirect experience with accessibility needs, either through personal or professional experience, is highly valued.
Working Relationships You'll report to two specialist trustees with expertise in marketing and PR, and you'll work closely with TFA's CEO, Ignyte's team, and our board to ensure alignment across all channels.
