About the Postal Delivery Driver role You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route.
You will collect your allocated vehicle and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the mail and parcels to your local community.
Flexibility may be required when needed and overtime may be available within other areas of the business.
You may be also collecting parcels/mail About You The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.
You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
Postal workers deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.
You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.
Previous Experience Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.
