About the role The Delas Lab, Funded by Wellcome, aims to understand the cis-regulatory mechanisms controlling developmental cell fate choice.
To deliver this role effectively you will need a combination of excellent understanding of molecular, cell biology and biochemistry with a special focus on developmental and stem cell biology as well the ability to establish effective and collaborative relationships.This is a fixed-term role from 01/07/ – 30/06/A job description can be accessed at the bottom of this page.

This work spans molecular mechanisms through to the in vivo phenotypic consequences of perturbing these regulatory processes.
The candidate must hold a PhD in a relevant biomedical discipline and have a solid understanding of developmental biology or stem cell models of differentiation.
A thorough knowledge of research techniques and methodologies, particularly those related to gene expression and epigenetic analysis at the genome-wide level, is essential.
Additionally, the candidate should have experience in data analysis, including bioinformatics and image analysis, as well as proficiency in biochemical assays and structural biology.
A strong research track record is also required, with a history of high-quality publications, collaborations, and other contributions to the scientific community.
Experience in leading and managing a research project is necessary, along with the ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of their own research background and effectively communicate research achievements to both specialist and lay audiences.
The candidate should also show a willingness to contribute to a supportive, collaborative environment within the team, while actively promoting and advocating for equality, diversity, and inclusion among colleagues and the broader LMCB community.
