HMP Lancaster Farms has operational capacity of around 550, and has good transport links from the motorway, and is close to public transport routes.
This is a fantastic new opportunity to join the healthcare team on site, ensuring that patients receive the best quality care, and the healthcare team are fully supported.
Hours: This is a full time role, working hours per week.
Shifts are Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00.
Salary: This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary of between £24,924 - £27,582 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Porter, your responsibilities will vary.
You will: Provide a high standard of portering services and housekeeping, escorting visitors and contractors into and around the prison Deal with patients, healthcare colleagues and other professionals over the phone and face to face Carry out basic admin tasks, including answering calls, scanning, delivering post etc Deliver a tidy healthcare area, monitoring and ordering stock as necessary, paying attention to expiry dates and cost of equipment Work with the admin team to ensure paperwork is collected form the wings, as well as assisting the pharmacy in the transporting of medication If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.

Our new Porter Will Have: Be able to lift and carry items around - there is a lot of manual handling involved Any previous portering experience would be beneficial Have good IT skills - any admin experience would be a bonus!
Excellent communication skills A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Able to work within a busy environment Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
