You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.To find out more about NHS Ayrshire and Arran please visit our website - Position:An opportunity has arisen for a permanent, part-time Porter based at Ayrshire Central Hospital.What you will do:The general role of the porter/driver is widely varied and consists of duties such as driving, meal delivery, item delivery, security – (monitoring CCTV, patrolling premises, locking and securing same, issuing keys, assisting with gritting) waste management, at times transfer of patients in and around some hospital areas, the transportation of: linen, specimens, stores, equipment and supplies etc....
The porters also coordinate all internal and external mail and assist as a presence in incidents related to violence and aggression.This role in particular is for the laundry delivery/collection service, which operates between NHS Ayrshire & Arran hospital sites and some other locations.
