Job Description The General Utility Worker II serves a variety of essential back of the house and front of house Food & Beverage (F&B) roles.
F&B General Utility Worker II is required to maintain a safe sanitary work environment and required to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment.
Job Responsibilities To attend appropriate training sessions as and when required.
To have a full knowledge of all areas of work to be covered in the course of duty.
To ensure that the required standards are achieved at all times.
To always attempt to improve on existing standards of work.
To ensure all areas are left in a clean & presentable state.
All equipment turned off at the end of shift.
To be polite, friendly and helpful at all times.
Deal with individual customer requests.
Listen to customer remarks politely and make sure follow up action is taken.
To make the most of sales opportunities by encouraging the customer to buy something new or have extra portions.
To make sure the counter top displays are clean and attractive.
To take an active part in any unit sales promotions and make your own suggestions to help increase sales.
To give any information that might lead to new business to the sales department.
To be prepared to help out doing other things in the unit when necessary.
Banqueting / housekeeping / porteing.
To see where you need to change your own activities to meet different circumstances.
To look out for and tell the Manager when you see ways to improve work activities or reduce costs.
To be friendly, pleasant and polite to your work colleagues.
Be prepared to help out the rest of the team in a willing and positive manner.
To tell your colleagues what is going on in the unit and be prepared to go to company briefing and training sessions.
Qualifications Skills A keen interest in food and service.
Excellent customer service skills.
Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative.
A good knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
Good understanding of English.
Dedication and self-motivation Good timekeeping Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team To be able to contribute to maintaining high standards of personal hygiene Courteous manner Qualifications & Experience 1 years' experience in a similar environment.
