Job summary We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator to support the roll-out of our Virtual Ward Programme across East Sussex.
This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in the implementation of innovative healthcare delivery systems that will enable patients to receive high-quality, hospital-level care from the comfort of their homes.As a POCT Coordinator, you will be instrumental in the introduction, training, and oversight of point-of-care testing devices used within the Virtual Ward Programme.
This role will ensure seamless integration of POCT within virtual care pathways, supporting clinicians and patients to maximise the benefits of this technology.This is a fixed-term role for up to 6 months, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on healthcare services while gaining valuable experience in a fast-evolving sector.Internal secondments will be considered.

Main duties of the job You will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and experience in coordinating healthcare initiatives.
You'll have a passion for technology-driven healthcare and patient safety.
Coordinate the implementation of Point of Care Testing (POCT) systems within the Virtual Ward Programme.Train and support healthcare staff on the use of POCT devices and ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure POCT devices are integrated efficiently into patient care.Monitor and troubleshoot POCT equipment, ensuring regular maintenance, quality assurance, and performance audits.Act as the first point of contact for any issues relating to POCT in the Virtual Ward setting.Collect, analyse, and report data on POCT usage, outcomes, and compliance.Ensure compliance with local and national policies, regulations, and guidelines regarding point-of-care testing.Support ongoing evaluation of POCT impact on patient outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Liaise with suppliers to coordinate equipment deliveries and training schedules.
