In this role, you will support the governance and control of projects within our portfolio, working closely with our PMO Manager, Portfolio Delivery Managers, and Project Managers.

What you'll be doing: Working with the PMO Manager and Central PMO Office to set up new governance forums, ensuring the effective running of the portfolio Producing and reviewing artefacts for key governance forums and stakeholder meetings, including quality assurance of project status reports, RAID management, change control, and ad hoc reports Tracking portfolio and project costs, supporting PMs with forecasts and actuals, monitoring adherence to budget, and escalating issues Supporting PMs with project documentation creation, including quality checking, coordination of approvals, storage, and input into the quality assurance process Leading process improvements and cost reduction efforts to promote continuous improvement Ensuring smooth transition of changes to PMO processes and tools into the live environment, with appropriate documentation and business as usual processes in place Coordinating user training on various PMO processes and tools, and mentoring junior analysts within the team Implementing appropriate governance, reporting, and escalation of changes impacting customers to ensure key checkpoints are met Qualifications Who we're looking for: Previous experience working in PMO is essential Exposure to financial/analytical activities and being able to contextualise financial data to support the viability of Projects within the Portfolio Experience of working within an embedded PMO Excellent organisational skills with strong Microsoft Office skills – with extensive understanding of MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which enable you to foster working relationships within the team, client departments, and 3rd parties with ease.
Ability to proactively review existing processes and identify waste and value, gap investigation and creating /improvement of new and existing processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
