About the Role: As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in providing a nurturing and engaging learning experience for our students.
Key responsibilities include: Delivering individualized support to students with PMLD, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.
Assisting the classroom teacher with planning and delivering activities that cater to each student's unique abilities.
Helping students with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
Tracking and recording student progress, working closely with the SENCO and classroom team to celebrate achievements and adjust support plans as needed.
Collaborating with a range of professionals, such as therapists and medical staff, to provide comprehensive care for each student.
About You: Experience working with children or young people with PMLD or similar needs is preferred.
You bring a patient, empathetic, and supportive approach, with strong communication skills.
You're a team player who can easily build relationships with students, staff, and families.
Excellent organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to various student needs.
Qualifications like CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning are beneficial but not essential.
